This collection contains six series of faculty governance files. The series are: Series 1: Ad Hoc Committees and Task Force Files, Series 2: Advisory, Administrative, and All-College Committee Files, Series 3: Faculty Handbooks, Series 4: Faculty Meeting Minutes, Series 5: Faculty Standing Committees (includes subseries), Series 6: Oversight Committee Files.

This collection contains materials received by the College Archives relating to individual faculty. These files include personal correspondence, programs, news clippings, and obituaries of faculty members. The dates on the folders reflect the dates the enclosed documents were created, which does not necessarily match the subject of the documents.

Files include syllabi, correspondence, reports, and research conducted on programs at other universities. Although most folder titles are self-explanatory, it is useful to explain a few topics in more detail. Scope and Contents This collection contains appointment books, personal journals/diaries, and other miscellaneous personal effects created and maintained by Dr. Gertrude Howell Hildreth. The appointment books are small size pocket calendars in which Dr. Hildreth recorded appointments, events, and activities. This series contains Graduate Program Catalogs from 1988, with the exception of 1989 through 1993 which are missing. The catalogs include general information and requirements for the Graduate Program, as well as detailed requirements and class listings for each master’s program. Publication periods vary, but the Graduate Program Catalogs were published either annually or every other year.

Scope and Contents These files contain various items and records related to the Rassweiler family. Two sets of journals exist. The first are Henry Rassweiler’s Personal Journals. Volume 1 (1859-1867) of Rassweiler’s personal journals include the years that he taught in a public school and was a student at North-Western College in Plainfield, Illinois. Lecture notes, quizzes, tests, and final exams created by Harold White are included in this collection. Papers are separated by class and divided into “Notes and Tests” and “Final Exams”. Many of White’s notes are lecture notes for classes and drafts of tests. Most of the tests and final exams written by White have two versions, either an A/B or odd/even, with two copies of each retained.
